My daughter is 14 years old. She’s had a phone since she was about five. She carries it with her everywhere, and she has a lot of friends who communicate with her on social media or video chat. I should mention that she lives with her mom during the week and spends every other weekend with me.
I’ve been trying to limit her time on her phone, but she won’t agree to any time limits. If I ask her to hand over her phone, she has a severe panic attack. She’s in a panic until she gets her phone back, however long it takes, and during that time, it’s hard to talk to her.
Looking for suggestions. Any other parents have this experience? What did you do that helped?

Have you tried giving her a guided meditation or breathing exercises? You could also try taking her phone for just a few minutes (or less) then an additional minute the next time then keep making the duration longer each time, so she can get used to it.
